Rachel Breen and Alison Morse
Bio: Rachel Breen Rachel Breen is a widely exhibited visual and social practice artist, exploring social concerns and community engagement through drawing, installation, performance and public art projects. Experimentation with mediums and processes, especially the use of a sewing machine, are core aspect of her studio practice. She has exhibited her work throughout the USA and is a Professor of Art at Anoka Ramsey Community College. Rachel received her MFA in Visual Art from the University of Minnesota. Alison Morse Alison Morse is a widely published poet and prose writer who draws much of her inspiration from her passionate interest in human rights and community building and her background as a visual artist and animator. Three times, she was chosen as a writer for the Women Peacemakers Program at the Joan Kroc School of Peace Studies. She also won the 2012 Tiferet Fiction Prize. Alison is the great-niece of seamstresses who worked in New York City sweatshops in the years directly following the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Hamline University.
